This is how “México es Alegría” begins — the new single and music video by singer-songwriter Lonch Santizo, a powerful musical and visual project inspired by Mexico’s passion for soccer, yet reaching far beyond the World Cup: an emotional journey into Mexican roots, identity, and cultural pride.

Originally from Tapachula, Chiapas, and currently based in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, Lonch Santizo says that living far from home has only strengthened his nostalgia and love for Mexico, making this song a deeply personal emotional connection to the country that still lives in his heart.

The official music video opens with the appearance of a jaguar, a sacred figure in Mayan and Aztec culture, symbolizing strength, spirituality, and connection with the inner self. Throughout the story, the jaguar transforms into a child — representing the inner child we all carry within us: innocence, joy, wonder, and the longing to feel truly alive again.

Visually, the production travels through settings inspired by the cities that will host the upcoming World Cup, blending soccer, tradition, color, and Mexican pride into a symbolic visual experience that connects the spirit of football with the soul of Mexico.
