OFF1 First Strike Announces New Main Event – Hunter Lee vs. UFC Veteran Anthony Aquaman Ivy
A rising Canadian powerhouse meets a UFC-tested veteran in one of the most anticipated MMA bouts in Ontario history.
Barrie, Ontario, Canada, 7th May 2025 – The OFF1: First Strike fight card just went from high-level to elite. OFF1 has officially announced a major upgrade to its May 9 main event: Canada’s undefeated, Olympic-trained Hunter Lee will face Anthony “Aquaman” Ivy, a 24-fight veteran and former UFC competitor, in a welterweight showdown that promises fireworks at Paul Sadlon Arena in Barrie, Ontario.
Hunter Lee is the definition of a surging star. With an unblemished record, world-class grappling pedigree, and a reputation for finishing fights, the Saskatchewan native has quickly become one of the most talked-about prospects in the country. OFF1: First Strike will mark his first headline slot on a pro card — and he’s not easing into it.
Instead, he’ll face a man who’s already survived the fire.
Anthony “Aquaman” Ivy has fought under the bright lights of the UFC, Bellator, and Legacy Fighting Alliance. With 24 professional bouts under his belt, Ivy brings experience, danger, and an unshakable presence inside the cage. He’s been tested by some of the best in the world — and he’s flying in from Texas to silence the hype.
“We didn’t just sub in a main event,” says OFF1 COO Leslie Klatt.
“We took the opportunity to upgrade the whole night. This is the kind of matchup that headlines any card, anywhere.”
An International Showcase of Rising Stars and Proven Warriors
But the main event is just one piece of what’s shaping up to be the most stacked MMA card ever seen in Barrie.
- Former Bellator Champion Rafael Carvalho returns to action, bringing his legendary striking and composure into the OFF1 cage.
- Lucas Rosa, a 6-0 undefeated American talent with serious buzz, will take on Sri Lankan standout Sabapathy Dilukshan in a co-main event that represents the global future of the sport.
- Amateur Local Talent, like Layton Lane, who won Montreal Fight League’s Junior fight of the year 2024 and Keyden McCue, who brings next-gen energy to a lineup packed with emerging talent, many of whom will make the jump to pro before the year is out.
- Fighters are flying in from Florida, Texas, Sri Lanka, Saskatchewan, Alberta, Quebec — all meeting in Barrie for one unforgettable night.
Production, Prestige, and a Fan Experience Like No Other
OFF1: First Strike isn’t just a fight card. It’s a full-scale, Vegas-level show.

- Live broadcasting will stream globally on Millions.co, giving fans everywhere a front-row seat.
- Kyle Nelson and John Ramdeen will be cage-side on commentary, while comedian Mike Rita hosts the evening with all the fire and flair you’d expect from an OFF1 show.
