Builders Update CEO Bill Gaul Named GDX Ambassador for New Construction
United States, 9th Jul 2026 – Bill Gaul, CEO of Builders Update and Chair of the RESO Data Dictionary New Construction Subcommittee, has been named the official Ambassador for New Construction and Builder Data by GDX – Global Data Exchange and the International MLS Forum (IMLSF). In this role, Gaul will work to connect builders and new construction inventory with MLS organizations, brokerages, and real estate professionals across global markets – while continuing to lead Builders Update.
New construction represents a significant share of available housing inventory, yet integrating builder data consistently across MLS platforms and international markets remains an industry challenge. While RESO standards have established a strong foundation for interoperability, broader cross-market collaboration continues to present new opportunities. Gaul’s appointment reflects GDX and IMLSF’s commitment to advancing those efforts through global collaboration and standards-based connectivity.
As CEO of Builders Update, Gaul has spent years transforming how new construction inventory is shared across the real estate industry, building stronger connections among builders, MLSs, brokers, and agents. His leadership at the RESO New Construction Subcommittee has advanced the data standards that make those connections possible.
As Ambassador, Gaul will foster collaboration across builders, MLS organizations, standards bodies, brokerages, and technology providers, while driving stronger links between local markets and global demand.
