Moscow, Russia, 30th Sep 2025 The International Math Paper Competition (IMPC) 2025 has officially concluded, marking one of the most prestigious stages for young scholars to present groundbreaking research in mathematics. The competition gathered participants from across Asia, Europe, Africa, the Americas, and the Middle East, positioning itself as a central platform where talent, innovation, and collaboration in mathematics converge.

With the rising importance of mathematics in shaping global progress in technology, science, and economics, IMPC 2025 provided an arena where young mathematicians were challenged not only to solve complex problems but also to communicate their findings in a rigorous academic paper. This year, the competition witnessed a surge in participation, reflecting the growing enthusiasm of students worldwide to engage in research at an early stage of their academic journey.

After a thorough evaluation process by an international jury of professors and researchers, 31 outstanding participants were honored with Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Honorable Mention awards. Their work reflected originality, precision, and the ability to connect mathematical theory with real-world application.

The recognition of these winners underlines the competition’s mission: to inspire and empower young mathematicians to push beyond the boundaries of conventional learning. Each participant not only demonstrated mastery of mathematical concepts but also exhibited the ability to contextualize theory into practice, addressing global challenges such as data analysis, algorithm development, optimization, and applied statistics.

“Mathematics is not confined to the classroom—it is the foundation of innovation. What we have seen in IMPC 2025 is proof that young minds can generate ideas with the potential to transform the world,” said the Chair of the IMPC 2025 Organizing Committee.

The competition also highlighted the significance of communication in mathematics. Participants were evaluated not just on the depth of their research but also on their ability to present findings with clarity and precision. This emphasis prepares students for the demands of academic and professional careers, where sharing ideas is as important as generating them.

Expanding the Reach of IMPC

Since its inception, the International Math Paper Competition has aimed to democratize access to research opportunities. By providing a platform for both high school and undergraduate students, IMPC ensures that mathematical research is not limited to senior scholars but is cultivated at the earliest possible stage.

The 2025 edition demonstrated this commitment, featuring participants from diverse educational and cultural backgrounds. The competition not only rewarded individual excellence but also promoted global academic exchange.

Looking ahead, the organizers announced ambitious plans for IMPC 2026. Expansion efforts will focus on increasing outreach to underserved regions, enhancing digital participation through online platforms, and forging collaborations with leading universities and research institutions. This expansion aims to make IMPC not just a competition, but a movement for empowering the next generation of innovators.
