Apastioli Specialty Foods Expands Across Southeast With Launch of Apastioli Farms
Charleston-based Apastioli Specialty Foods announces expansion plans, new retail partnerships, and the launch of Apastioli Farms, a community-focused agritourism initiative.
United States, 28th Aug 2025– Apastioli Specialty Foods, founded by entrepreneur Joe Gallagher Jr., is scaling production to meet growing retailer demand while preparing to launch Apastioli Farms, a large-scale agritourism and community-focused project in Adams Run, South Carolina.
Scaling to Meet Retail Demand
What started with a single jar of homemade sauce has quickly grown into Apastioli Specialty Foods, a Charleston-based Italian food brand now expanding throughout the Southeast. Known for its all-natural sauces and marinated specialties, the company is increasing production capacity as major distributors and retailers including Piggly Wiggly, Food Lion, Sysco Foods, and others prepare to carry its products.
The Apastioli line reflects authentic Italian roots with a focus on health-conscious recipes. Customer favorites include Roasted Garlic Sweet Onion Marinara, Tomato Basil, Pizza Sauce, Bangin’ Bellas mushrooms, and Hippie Dip.
Apastioli Farms: A Vision for Community and Growth
Looking ahead, Gallagher and his wife Ryan are developing Apastioli Farms at Longwing Plantation in Adams Run, SC. The 1,716-acre property will serve as a hub for specialty food production, regenerative agriculture, and agritourism.
The project will feature farm-to-table dining, renewable energy systems, cabins, stables, bocce courts, and guided tours through fresh produce fields. Plans also include nonprofit initiatives supporting veterans and individuals in recovery, making the farm a space dedicated to both community and sustainability.
Building a Broader Legacy
Beyond specialty foods and the farm project, Gallagher has authored From Bars to Jars: A Saucy Redemption Story, a memoir that has inspired readers nationwide. A continuation series, From Bars to Jars: The Harvest, is underway, expanding on themes of community building and conservation.
Gallagher also co-hosts the Lowcountry Lunatics Podcast with New York Nick E.T., featuring humor, local voices, and stories of resilience. Available on Spotify, YouTube, Facebook, and soon Apple Podcasts, the show highlights Charleston’s vibrant community while offering an uplifting perspective.
