New Memoir Presents Author’s Personal Account of Police Interactions and Pursuit of Justice from the Police Force and recounts February 2023 Events and Subsequent Efforts to Seek Accountability

United Kingdom, 15th Jul 2026 – About The Book: Helen has published her memoir ‘Police Ring of Silence’: A powerfully worded Personal Account of Seeking Justice Against Authority’. Her book provides a first-person narrative of events after being wrongly accused of a crime that she didn’t commit, yet was then forced to endure the Essex Police breaking into her home without any legal documents in place, and then falsely arrested whilst in/out of consciousness by PC Joe Wheeler.

The Body Worn Video goes on to show how PC Wheeler & PC Daniel Gilbert carry out actions of Police sexual assault with violence, slamming her back against a cast-iron radiator and the removal of her clothing whilst mostly unconscious. The memoir also covers a second incident the following day whilst a hospital patient, during which she describes being deliberately filmed and assaulted by PC Adam Smith, then handcuffed to the hospital gurney and left unable to move for 8 hours, whilst still experiencing psychosis linked to an overdose, with the direct catalyst being PC Daniel Gilbert repeatedly pressurizing her to go in for a voluntary interview, despite knowing that she was in a MH Crisis, and already had a severe mental illness which was on the police computer. 

PC Adam Smith’s BWV was only downloaded onto his personal mobile phone.

On leaving the hospital, Helen was arrested for supposedly assaulting PC Smith, and the Post Police interviewed the Officers involved. PC Wheeler, PC Croney & PC Gilbert went on to deliberately cut the mobile phone BWV in half and only gave that to her Criminal Solicitor to defend her with.  Even Chief Constable Ben Harrington’s signature was forged on the Charge Sheet.

Helen goes on to show how none of these Officers were ever arrested and charged, and the reason for this was that the Professional Standards Dept. routinely remove all Police Corruption Prior to even investigating the Victim’s Complaint, which makes them all Complicit in covering up Police Corruption. 

Not to be pushed out as totally irrelevant, Helen began to fight back and has produced a hard-hitting book which covers exactly how the Victim’s allegations of Police Misconduct, Abuse of Power and shocking Systemic Failures within Public Institutions is not only condoned by the people in power, but also actively covered up. Even after seeking help with her own MP, Priti Patel, who stated ‘that as Shadow Secretary she was unable to take Helen’s situation into Parliament’, which was untrue, and this was after the 50-odd emails which Priti Patel actively ignored.  Helen told Ms Patel that this was a direct dereliction of duty, with Priti Patel directly removing Helen’s right to free speech to have her voice heard in Parliament regarding this Shocking Travesty of Justice within our own Police Force.

Not to be beaten, Helen then wrote to all 630 MP’s, twice, stating that ‘this is for all victims of Police Corruption, using herself as an example.’ Without help, she then turned to the Home Office, Attorney General, Royal Courts of Justice, the Prime Minister, and even HM King Charles, all totally ignoring her plea to ‘Force Parliament to Debate the Rife & Unlawful Police Corruption’ in our country.

Helen directly asked the Prime Minister who had even sat on Loose Women on 18th December 2025, stating that ‘Labour had finally brought in procedures to stop Sexual Assaults and Violence towards Women’, yet when Helen asked the question ‘What happens when you put the word ‘Police’ in front of that sentence’, none of her letters were ever acknowledged.

This is Helen’s personal journey through adversity on behalf of all Police Victims past, present and in the future, using her 3.5-year campaign to seek justice not only from the Police, but from the people in power in this country who blatantly ignore the little people who vote them in, in the first place.
