505 Treasure Hunts Creates a New Community Adventure Movement Across New Mexico
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — What started as a simple idea to bring people together has grown into one of New Mexico’s most exciting community-based treasure hunting experiences.
505 Treasure Hunts, founded by Albuquerque resident Victor Vigil, has attracted thousands of followers across New Mexico through a unique combination of outdoor adventure, family fun, community engagement, and real cash prizes.
The organization hosts regular events including Money Monday, Winner Wednesday, and Jackson Friday cash drops, along with larger themed treasure hunts that challenge participants to solve clues, decipher codes, and explore New Mexico’s rich landscapes and communities.
Most recently, the highly anticipated Rattlesnake Treasure Hunt brought treasure hunters together from across the state to compete for cash, prizes, and the thrill of discovery. The event highlighted what has become the hallmark of 505 Treasure Hunts: creating positive experiences that encourage families and friends to work together while enjoying the outdoors.
