Fincards Launches Live Stock Research App that Modernizes and Democratizes Access to Institutional-Grade Financial Information
United States, 25th Mar 2026 —Fincards has launched its live stock research app. Available on the Apple App Store, Fincards provides institutional-grade financial information on public companies for retail investors. The app modernizes and democratizes the investment research process.
“This app grew out of my own investment research learning curve,” explained Erik Wilder, Founder and CEO of Fincards. “I wanted to emulate the research practices of the best of Wall Street value investors, who have teams of people spending months poring over detailed financial information. I realized that there was an opportunity to deliver that kind of hedge fund information advantage to individual investors.”
Fincards provides users with the volume and quality of comprehensive stock research data that has historically only been available through costly legacy print services. However, unlike the printed publications, which come out quarterly, Fincards gets updated daily. The app is fully automated, sharing data about 4,600 public companies, each of which is displayed as a digital “card” with a one-glance format.
“We put on the same research footing as hedge funds, family offices, and university libraries,” Wilder added.
As founder and CEO of Fincards, Wilder brings a unique blend of institutional finance experience and a product-driven startup mindset to the task of developing the app. Prior to founding Fincards, he served in roles at State Street that included Strategist, Product & Portfolio, Global Markets, and AVP Quantitative Model Risk. He also worked at Cambridge Associatesand Northern Trust, which gave him deep expertise in how capital flows, how data drives decisions, and where friction exists for everyday investors. Wilder holds an MS in Applied Mathematics from Northeastern University and a BS from the University of Arizona. He previously taught Quantitative Analysis of Consumer Data as an Adjunct Professor at Northeastern.
