Yaya’s Reentry Center Launches in Florida to Support Individuals Returning from Incarceration

United States, 18th Mar 2026 — Yaya’s Reentry Center, Inc., a newly established Florida nonprofit organization, has announced the launch of its structured reentry initiative designed to help individuals returning from incarceration rebuild stable, independent lives.

Founded in 2025, Yaya’s Reentry Center operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 39-2952156) focused on providing transitional housing and comprehensive support services to adults reentering society after incarceration. The organization’s mission is to reduce recidivism and strengthen communities by addressing the critical barriers that individuals face after release, including housing instability, unemployment, and untreated mental health challenges.

The organization was founded by Yahaira Manon, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than a decade of clinical experience working with individuals experiencing complex psychiatric conditions and trauma. Through her work in behavioral health, Manon witnessed how lack of stable housing, limited access to mental health support, and insufficient guidance often contribute to repeated involvement in the justice system.

“Reentry is one of the most vulnerable moments in a person’s life,” said Manon. “Without stability and support, individuals returning from incarceration can face overwhelming obstacles. Yaya’s Reentry Center was created to provide structure, dignity, and opportunity so people can rebuild their lives and move forward.”

Yaya’s Reentry Center plans to provide structured transitional housing with a projected capacity of 100 beds, along with a comprehensive support model designed to promote long-term stability. Program participants will receive individualized case management and access to services that include employment readiness training, resume development, job placement support, financial literacy education, life-skills development, and referrals for mental health and counseling services.

The center operates within a structured environment that emphasizes accountability, personal growth, and community reintegration. Residents participate in scheduled programming, workforce training opportunities, and progress reviews designed to support independence and long-term success.

In addition to supporting recently incarcerated individuals, the program will also provide services to individuals on probation or parole and will include support pathways for veterans returning to civilian life after justice involvement.

Yaya’s Reentry Center is guided by a leadership team committed to community impact and responsible organizational growth. In addition to Founder and CEO Yahaira Manon, the organization’s leadership includes Executive Director and Treasurer Victoria FlorentinoVice President Dr. Max Probst, MD, and Committee Chair Dr. Alubi each contributing expertise in administration, healthcare, and community support.

The nonprofit is currently developing partnerships with local agencies, community organizations, and workforce providers across Florida to build a collaborative support network for program participants.

As the organization prepares to expand services and begin accepting participants, Yaya’s Reentry Center is seeking support from community partners, employers, volunteers, and donors committed to advancing second-chance opportunities.

“Reentry is not just about leaving prison,” Manon added. “It’s about rebuilding a life. With the right structure and support, transformation is possible.”
