Go Xielje by J. Anthony Kraus: A Monster Unleashed in a World That Won’t Listen

Buffalo, United States, 10th Feb 2026 – In a world where spectacle reigns and truth is ignored, Go Xielje! delivers a relentless, darkly humorous journey through chaos, survival, and denial. J. Anthony Kraus’ latest work flips the monster genre on its head, rejecting the typical formula and taking readers on a wild ride they won’t soon forget.

Set on the alien planet Zetipo, the story follows Ghee, a child caught between his love for space and his society’s obsession with a mindless sport called Monch. The story kicks into action when a monster, Xielje, is accidentally sent from Zetipo to Earth. What follows is a ruthless commentary on our own world’s obsession with the trivial and the absurd, where everything from the media to governments can’t handle the truth.

The monster itself, Xielje, isn’t a force of evil, but a natural disaster with claws and scales. It doesn’t speak, doesn’t scheme; it’s just hungry, and the world around it refuses to acknowledge the danger until it’s too late. Kraus uses this simple premise to expose the failings of systems built to protect us: the military, the media, even our own leaders.

Go Xielje! isn’t just about a monster wreaking havoc; it’s about how we, as a society, ignore the truth when it’s too uncomfortable to face. Melanie Jacoby, a tough-as-nails lumberjack, is the lone survivor who understands the magnitude of the threat, but her warnings fall on deaf ears. As Xielje moves across the Earth, growing larger and more dangerous, the authorities dismiss her as insane, treating the catastrophe as a joke until it’s no longer funny.

For fans of satirical horror, dark comedy, and offbeat sci-fi, Go Xielje! offers a thrilling escape that’s as thought-provoking as it is action-packed. The novel’s unapologetic tone and unpredictable plot make it a standout in the genre, perfect for anyone tired of the predictable and ready for something that leaves you thinking long after the last page.

About the Author

J. Anthony Kraus is a fiction and memoir writer whose work blends satire and genre storytelling. He served in the United States Air Force as a Nuclear Weapons Specialist, stationed in Minot, North Dakota. That experience instilled in him a lasting awareness of authority and consequence. These are the elements that later emerged as recurring themes in his storytelling.

Following his military service, Kraus spent more than twenty years in the advertising industry. He began his career as an illustrator and worked his way up to Creative Director, where he was responsible for final visual and written content across campaigns.

While working in advertising, Kraus became increasingly drawn to fiction. He began with a screenplay centered on Bigfoot and later wrote an early version of Go Xielje!, which he set aside for several years. During that time, he continued to practice writing, study the craft, and refine his voice. When he returned to Go Xielje!, he did so with renewed perspective and a clearer creative direction.
